Remove gaudy M thingy, and you've got a deal.

Modifying an M car to get people to look at it is the exact opposite point of an M car.

Not to stir shit, but... if it had been a manual F10 M5, I'd be shocked to see something like that on there. Typical M5 buyer... notsomuch.

You got new tires? Good! Better be safe than sorry. You picked the collective OPPO brain and did the right thing. What did you get?

You've got something that M5 owners only dream about.

A spare tire.

Sounds good! I've had Kumhos on my Mazda 626 and they were great on snow and ice. Be prepared to get a completely different vehicle back (Handling/road noise/stopping/etc.)

Theyre also only 48 bucks a tire. I wonder if Im gonna like the way it handles or hate it. I know when I fixed my power steering hose I hated my steering after.

New tires will always equal better. Especially if the old ones were a decade old.

This. As a teenager, my dad wore out his winter tires (possibly Michelin X-ices) driving out to Oregon through Yellowstone in the summer. The hot pavement killed them... they went from nearly new to cords starting to show in about 3000 miles. The new cheap ass all-seasons he replaced them with were night and day, even travelling down a perfectly straight perfectly dry summer highway. Nothing was done to the alignment, but suddenly the car actually went where it was pointed instead of wandering around all over the place.

I'll have to get a picture of my postman with his BMW Competition Package M5, he spend a small (okay not so small) fortune on carbon fibre inserts. It's all very tasteful and complements it all very nicely.

Winter tires should always come off when the temp is consistently above like 50 degrees why did he still have them on in the Summer..On a road trip..through hot ass Yellowstone?

Where we live, the temperature is only consistently above 50 degrees for three or four months. Between that and gravel roads, and the fact that my dad drove about 30k miles every year, winter tires only lasted a bit longer than one season anyhow. Running them year round wasn't that big a deal, so he'd get a new set towards the end of August when they went cheap as the tire dealers were selling off old stock to make room for the massive fall rush of September and October. He figured having new tires for the road trip was a good idea... I suppose if he hadn't put new tires on then, there's a chance we wouldn't have made it all the way home... But still, not the greatest idea.

I saw that same car today. 99% sure it was the same one as I saw it about 2 miles from where it's parked in that picture.
